Setting a fixed starting date for a schedule of multiple weeks

The default option for the starting date of a schedule is the start of employment date of the employee to whom the schedule applies.

In case of schedule of multiple weeks, it is necessary to set the starting date of the schedule to a fixed date, instead of the start of employment date. This way, week 1 will start on the same date for all employees to whom this schedule applies. This is especially convenient for companies who work with night duty and/or shift work.

  • Go to ‘Settings (gear icon top right)’ ⇒ ‘Master data’ ⇒ ‘Schedules’, and select the pencil icon next to the schedule in question.
  • Check the box for ‘Used fixed start date’.
  • Choose a date as starting date using the calendar. Always choose a start date that is earlier than the date upon which the schedule will be applied to the employee.
