Percentage-Based Sick Leave
When an employee partially returns from sick leave, it is possible to continue the sick report on a percentage basis. This way, the employee remains (partially) reported as sick in the system for registration and notification purposes.
Note!
When an employee is reported sick by percentage, a day off will only deduct the percentage that the employee is marked as recovered. Use the different scheduling options when reporting someone partially recovered.
Advantages of Percentage-Based Sick Leave
- The sick report remains clearly visible (for everyone)
- The employee’s path toward full recovery is clearly visible for administrators
- Reports are adjusted based on the sickness percentage per period
- During the period of partial absence, the time of a leave request can also be adjusted according to the percentage
How to Mark an Employee as (Partially) Recovered
Go to:
‘SICK DAYS (top of the page)’ ⇒ ‘Overview’ ⇒ ‘Current’
In this screen, click the pencil icon next to the relevant employee.
If the employee is not listed here, they are most likely not yet reported sick. In that case, first go to:
‘Sick leave’ ⇒ ‘Report’
Then click on the ‘Reintegration’ tab.
Managing Recovery Periods
In this screen, you can manage the recovery period(s). Click ‘New’ to add a new period and enter the percentage of recovery. For each recovery period, you can apply a new work schedule.
Important:
Make sure you are entering the percentage of recovery. This percentage applies to presence, not absence.
Fully Recovering an Employee
Finally, you can mark an employee as fully recovered by clicking the ‘Report Recovered’ button in the same screen.
The employee will then no longer be shown as sick on:
- the dashboard
- the calendar
- the reports
